Many people are denied Social Security benefits when they apply. When an individual applies for Social Security Disability, the Social Security Administration will review your application, and, in most instances, find a way to deny you the benefits you deserve. But, you can appeal their decision and you should if you are disabled. Please note that you must submit your appeal within 60 days from the date you receive your rejection letter from the Social Security Administration.
An appeal can be a complex process. There are up to four levels of appeal available to you. You may begin your appeal with a “Request for Reconsideration” or a Request for Hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ), depending on your case. If you fail at either of these stages, you can then appeal to the Social Security Appeal Council (SSAC) and, ultimately, apply for Federal Court review.
Let me help you decide on your best course of action through this process. You will pay no up-front costs and no attorney's fees at all unless we win your case.
